'As you're pretty, so be wise'

'Little girls, this seems to say,
Never stop upon your way.
Never trust a stranger friend,
No-one knows how it will end.
As you're pretty, so be wise -
Wolves may lurk in every guise.
Now as then, 'tis simple truth
Sweetest tongue has sharpest tooth.'

What if one is the other? What if by playing one of the roles you've made someone fit the other? And what if...,what if you are both? The mirror shows the wolf so you can be The Red Riding Hood.
'Wolves may lurk in every guise.' And while you cautiously tiptoe through the woods to avoid the wolves, your 'self' creates them as you go along.

I know, I know - the quote, the story is about something else. I simply wanted to apply it to my own musings.

The wolf is just a hologram; it is not that scary or alluring once you see it as a figment of you imagination - something that your ego creates so you can play along. All is well while you can see through it when you look at someone, because, if you project it onto someone and view this person accordingly, it turns into a children's game gone wrong.
Have you never felt that someone sees you through this 'lens' and no matter what you do and how much you're flailing your arms - all they see is their own mental hologram of 'you'?

Everyone does it. Constantly.
But it is so beautiful to finally see someone as they are - at least face them without tailoring their 'being' to fit some preconceived beliefs of yours.

If you want to play The Red Riding Hood,  then 'beware' (I love how it sounds so preachy) the game that masks itself as reality, not the wolf - for it's not wearing sheep's clothing, but is merely an external manifestation of one's ego. Or perhaps even an interplay between two.

And 'sweetest tongue has sharpest tooth'? - Well, it won't make a difference if you don't have a sweet tooth for sweet talk. Check your ears and always wash behind them.

And now on a more fun note - it's Monday. Hope it cheers you up!

Also, it's not that cold outside anymore - so, may the 'shorts' be with you.

Good night, peeps xx
